HP WebOS Slates Coming “This Fall”

Here come the slates. Send in the slates. Todd Bradley, EVP, Personal Systems Group, for HP just announced that WebOS slates will arrive “this fall” alongside WebOS

printers that will allow you to browse the web on a printer and then print out selected content – think being able to grab and print maps without a laptop or computer.

Also expected are smartphones like the Pre or the Pixi and WebOS will be HP’s unified platform for all mobile devices and small footprint installs. In short, WebOS is HP’s Android. The slates will work for the most part with Adobe products including Flash and a new version, WebOS 2.0, will appear later this year.
