Does the zynga/facebook deal screw small developers? Did it just get that much harder for the little guys?

Rumor has it that zynga will get free ads on facebook. How does the indie developer compete with the largest developer getting special perks from facebook? While zynga gets free ads, the small developer must pay for their ads...
